I was at Spring Lake last year and they told me there is no lake access anymore at the Edmonton Beach office. Does anyone know what the deal is with this? Can you still park there and get in by foot to do some fishing?

This also brings up another point -are they allowed to restrict access to a lake? How is it that we pay for our lakes to be stocked and yet they can close the gates at lakes like Eden? Is this what they are trying to do at Spring or what?

Well Well Well, is that what they are up to! I do not believe they can keep you out. Since no one person can own a body of water. there has to be public access to the shore. Ryan I would call up the Fish and Game and check with them. I am getting sick of these golf freaks trying to close down our fishing spots. Laura and I had a few goofers in Fairmont try and tell us we could not fish the Columbia on thier golf course. I had lots to say to them some of it not very nice ha ha but there was nothing they could do because the river going through has a buffer of public access that the golf course does not own and has no say over. We were on public land in the middle of this course ha ha. The one old fart tried to hit me with a golf ball to chase us off. I told him he should be ashamed of himself for wearing pink checked pants white shoes and a lime green shirt on a spot where a beautiful forrest once stood. I called him an idiot, and told him only an idiot would chase a little white ball all over a big giant green field. I tod him what's the point of your goofy game? Cause you don't intend to fillet and eat that ball when you catch it do ya! Ha ha Laura was laughing and they packed up and took off, after I told the guy I would hook him in the AZZZZ and tear a notch out of his fancy smokin pink pants. Laughing Laughing

We can't let people take away our fishing spots, if we let em have one they will want another and another.

I'm not sure exactly what they're up to, but a couple of years ago a guy I know was denied access to the lake by someone trying to get money out of him. That's never happened to me, so it may just have been some camper trying to pull one over on a guy, but I'll be stopping there in the next little while to see if I can pick up some perch and maybe a trout or two.

I'll update you on what I find out there if I don't here more before that.

Yeah Ryan, unless they built the lake man made they can not deny you access.
We had one old woman out at Calling tell Shane and I we could not launch the boats from the shore there on the east side. She had to back down because she did not own and can't the shoreline. It's public.
